The J.D. Power Initial Quality study is designed to measure new owner’s satisfaction with their vehicles during the first three months of ownership. This year, more than 77,000 owners responded with design and defect problems in cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans. As it turns out, Ram is the most improved truck brand for the model year.
The 2017 Ram 1500 received a perfect five-out-of-five quality Power Circle Rating. That means that the Ram truck brand proved its mettle for the second consecutive year. Continuous improvement is the key to success and Ram has consistently shown that day after day.
“We’re pleased to see that all FCA US brands have made improvements in initial quality, especially Ram Truck with its big step up this year,” said Scott Garberding, head of quality at FCA Global.
The 2017 model year saw more standard equipment added to the Ram 1500. There were also a few special edition models that rolled out throughout the year. An efficient yet powerful diesel V6 engine, impressive towing capability, and a luxurious interior were likely a few factors that impressed new owners.
We here at Bill Harris Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram are happy to see the Ram truck brand getting better and better!
