Long road trips can be fun, but sometimes the family can become a tad bit annoying. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to distract passengers of all ages which will allow you to drive in peace. Road games are a great way to keep kids and adults alike occupied for quite a while. Here are some suggested road trip games for the family from us here at Bill Harris CDJR!
The alphabet game is fairly simply and is perfect for anyone who knows the alphabet. Composed of at least two players (or teams), the goal of the game is to find all the letters in the alphabet in order from A to Z on road signs and license plates. Whichever player or team manages to find them all first wins.
An old classic, telephone is a game many adults are surely familiar with. One person whispers a story to the next person, who then tries to repeat the story word-for-word to the next person, and so on. The last person must repeat the story so the entire car can hear. The end result usually leaves passengers laughing.
The restaurant race will vary by region, but is pretty straightforward. Each player (or team) chooses a common restaurant, like McDonalds and Burger King. Each side earns points by spotting their restaurants on a billboard, exit markers, or on the radio. Make sure to set a time limit! Whoever has the most points at the end wins!
